This Cookie Policy explains how Gradia Ltd ("Gradia", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the gradia.co.uk website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. This policy applies to the Gradia website only - the Gradia mobile app does not use website cookies (see Section 6 below).
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.
Similar technologies - such as local storage, session storage, pixels, and device fingerprinting - work in comparable ways and are also covered by this policy. Where we refer to "cookies" below, we mean cookies and all similar technologies.
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| gradia_session | Maintains your login session | Session | Essential |
| gradia_csrf | Security - prevents cross-site request forgery | Session | Essential |
| cookie_consent | Stores your cookie preferences | 12 months | Essential |
We do not currently use any analytics cookies on this website. We do not run Google Analytics or any other website analytics tool.
We use marketing cookies for two purposes: so that a brand partner can tell that a purchase came from Gradia and pay us the commission that funds the platform, and so that a Gradia ambassador who introduced you to us is credited for it. The first are set by the two affiliate networks we work through; the second is set by us. All of them require your consent.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| AWIN affiliate cookies | Attributes your purchase to Gradia when you click through to a partner brand. Set on click, not on page view. | Varies by brand partner (typically 14-45 days) | Marketing |
| gradia_ref | Remembers which Gradia ambassador’s referral link you opened, so that they are credited if you go on to join. Set on opening the link, not on page view. | 60 days | Marketing |
| CJ Affiliate cookies | Attributes your purchase to Gradia when you click through to a partner brand. Set on click, not on page view. | Varies by brand partner | Marketing |
We may add analytics or additional marketing cookies in the future - for example, Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, a Meta Pixel to measure a paid campaign, or equivalent tools if we begin advertising on TikTok, LinkedIn, or other platforms. None of these are in use today. Any of them would require fresh consent through the cookie banner, and this policy would be updated to describe them before they were deployed.
The cookies on our website that are set by a third party are the affiliate cookies described above. These third parties process your data under their own privacy policies. We do not control their cookies, and you should refer to each party's policy for details:
AWIN: affiliate network tracking to attribute commission when you click through to brand partners. See the AWIN Privacy Policy.
CJ Affiliate: affiliate network tracking to attribute commission when you click through to brand partners. See the CJ Affiliate Privacy Notice.
When you first visit gradia.co.uk, a cookie banner will appear. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences. You can change your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of the website.

We do not currently use any Google services on this website, so there is nothing for Google Consent Mode to govern. If we deploy one in future, it will run behind Google Consent Mode v2, so that it receives no personal identifiers unless and until you have given consent.
The Gradia mobile app does not use website cookies. It also does not use advertising identifiers such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Google's Advertising ID (GAID), and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app uses only:
The app does not embed advertising networks or third-party marketing pixels. It does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, because it does not track you for advertising purposes. This matches Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features or third-party tools, or as our marketing activity changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Where changes involve new cookie categories or new marketing cookies, we will request renewed consent through the cookie banner before deploying them. For minor changes (such as adding browser links or correcting cookie durations), we will update the policy without prompting renewed consent.
If you have questions about how we use cookies, our privacy team is here to help.
